     I hired these gentleman to refinish the floors in my rental property. The former tenants were beyond disgusting, and left the floors stained with pet urine and God knows what else.         I was very hesitant to get my floors refinished. They seemed like they were too damaged or in terrible condition, which in the end made us worry it would have been a poor investment. We were so close to just getting brand new wood floors, which would have been costly as most people would know. Then, a friend recommended Express Wood, so I gave them a call. We negotiated and talked for quite a while during or first meeting, because I was so nervous of how the final product would look. Finally, after talking with them and making the decision to trust them, we pulled the trigger and it ended up being the best possible decision we could have made. The price was more than reasonable, but more importantly, the floors look brand new! Everyone who has walked into our house always comments on how "beautiful" our floors look. They ask, "did you just put in these new wood floors?" I then explain they were refinished by Express Wood and the people can't believe how great of a job they can do. I will and have already recommended them to multiple people. There has not been one time where I have heard a customer being upset with their excellent work. They did so well with our living room, we just had them refinish two other rooms in our house! At least give them a call to see what they can do for you, if you are considering getting your floors redone. I am sure you will be impressed!

      Express Wood did a fantastic job painting our current kitchen cabinets and remodeling a small entryway and laundry room into a fully functional mudroom. Anyone who has seen our kitchen has asked if we had new cabinets and countertops installed. The paint finish is flawless (from cherry to white with a gray glaze) and makes our kitchen very bright and more current.  I hesitate to say paint, because so much more went into it than that. They look brand new.
     The new mudroom space is literally a dream come true. With new floors, cabinets and custom built-ins it is not only functional but beautiful. Several friends have taken photos and want to recreate the space in their own homes.
     The entire team is friendly, professional, on time and very courteous. We are looking forward to our next project with Express Wood and highly recommend them to all our friends.

       My house is an old house from 1915 with the original hardwood floors. It also had a gravity furnace in the past that was in the middle of the floor and patched with a piece of plywood. Alex and his crew did a phenomenal job patching the square where the gravity furnace was and making it look like the rest of the floor.        Express Wood refinished 2 rooms in our home (original 1920 pine.)  On the first day, they were on-site at 8:00 am and worked non-stop until 4:30 pm.  For the next 4 days, they arrived exactly when they said they would, and completed the portion of the job they promised to complete.  They sanded the floors to the natural wood (one room had 4 different coats of paint on top of the wood,) applied stain, and applied a top coat for 3 consecutive days.  The wood grain looks stunning.  This is a no-nonsense, respectful team of hard workers.  We will be hiring Express Wood again to replace  our kitchen floor.

      I cannot say enough about these professionals !!! I consider myself EXTREMELY lucky to have found these artisans. After seeing the neighbor's floor that Alex & Ben had done, there was no doubt in my mind as to whom I would use. The previous owner of my home, had let their cat treat the house as it's litter box, ferrous nails were used in installation of the floor, which caused black spots everywhere, etc. It was a mess.
